Landmannalaugar
09:00 Departure for Landmannalaugar Private Guided Tour. Soon we will pass the Green house village Hveragerði and then continue towards Mount Hekla, the most active and famous Volcano in Iceland. We then proceed along Thjorsa river and pass some of Icelands many hydroelectric power stations producing electricity at very low Co2 emissions cost. Landmannalaugar is one of the hidden gems of Iceland. There we have the chance of taking a bath in one of the natural warm pools in the middle of an unspoiled nature. This area is famous for its variety of colors in the mountains and surrounding hills and one has to see it to believe it. On the way back to Reykjavik we will again pass Mount Hekla and its surroundings which are often referred to as the Lunar landscape.
