South coast
South coast of Iceland in one day starting at 8:30.
We pick you up at your selected pick up location in Reykjavik area and head towards the east, over Hellisheiði pass and through the southern lowland area. We will make a short stop at Hvolsvöllur and from there we head to our first stop Skógafoss, the roughly 65m high cascade. From there we move towards Iceland‘s most famous black sand beach, Reynisfjara, where the roaring Atlantic ocean fiercely hits the shore. Just off the beach, Reynisdrangar basalt stacks majestically rise from the sea.
Our next stop is Vík, the most southern town in Iceland here we’ll stop at the local church. After we have had our lunch and explored Vik, we turn around and start making our way back to the city. On the way back we will stop at Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland’s 4th largest glacier. And from there we head to the picturesque Seljalandsfoss, where you’ll have a chance to walk behind the waterfall (only in summer). At all sites, you will have enough time to enjoy and make great memories to take home.
If time allows we might have some interesting secret stops to share.
In the end of the day we drop you off at your hotel, around 18:00
